Do you destroy on-site or off-site?+
Both. Our mobile shred truck performs witnessed destruction at your premises so material never leaves your sight. For larger volumes or product destruction, sealed material is collected under chain-of-custody and destroyed at our secure Johannesburg facility.
How quickly can you collect or arrive on-site?+
Most jobs in Gauteng are scheduled within the same week. Urgent on-site shredding can often be arranged within 24–48 hours. For other provinces we coordinate the next available scheduled route.
Will I receive a Certificate of Destruction?+
Yes. Every job — whether documents, products or media — concludes with a legally recognised Certificate of Destruction, typically issued within 24 hours of completion. It records the date, location, weight and the operators involved.
Are you POPIA compliant?+
Yes. Brand Guard operates a documented POPIA chain-of-custody, vetted and uniformed crew, sealed bins, tamper-evident transport and audit-ready record keeping. Our handling of personal information is governed by our published Privacy Policy.
What happens to the material after destruction?+
Shredded paper is baled and recycled. Destroyed product by-products are responsibly diverted from landfill where possible — by-products such as metals, plastics and textiles are routed to accredited recyclers. Tonnages are reported to the Gauteng Waste Information System (GWIS).
Do you cover areas outside Gauteng?+
Yes. Our HQ is in Johannesburg with daily routes through Gauteng, but we service Cape Town, Durban and the rest of South Africa via scheduled runs and on-request collections.
What types of items can you destroy?+
Confidential documents, hard drives and media, branded apparel, counterfeit goods, expired medication, recalled stock, defective packaging, marketing material, electronic devices, and most consumer products. If you're unsure, ask us — we tailor the destruction method to the risk.
Can my team witness the destruction?+
Absolutely. On-site jobs are designed for your team to watch the entire process. Off-site destruction can be witnessed in person at our facility or via photo and video evidence supplied with the certificate.

No minimums. We service single archive boxes through to warehouse-scale clearances. Recurring shredding programs and bulk destruction get tailored pricing.
